Leading Australian machinery distributer Construction Equipment Australian (CEA) who are part of the CFC Group, have committed to a new $20 million state-of-the-art facility in Darra, Queensland within the Connectwest Industrial Park being developed in Joint Venture by Charter Hall and ESR Australia.

The 5,600 sqm facility on a site area of 18,500 sqm will be developed at 25 Kiln Street Darra, Queensland.

CEA appointed Perth based BPG Projects as lead project director who partnered with specialist supply chain and property firm TMX in designing and sourcing the new facility. The new CEA premises will include a state-of-the-art servicing workshop with 20 work bays, a parts distribution facility and a 4,300 sqm machinery storage yard. The purpose-built facility will also include a 1,240 sqm showroom and office space for the sale of products from world-renowned brands including JCB, Atlas Copco, Ditch Witch, Komptech and Dynapac.

The new development will also incorporate a range of environmentally sustainable design elements, including a PV solar system, rainwater harvesting for amenity re-use and electric vehicle charging stations. These initiatives align with CEA and the CFC Group’s strategic direction to establish greater environmentally sustainable sites and work practices across all businesses in Australia and New Zealand.
