SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
Congratulations to our valued client Coles on opening its second state-of-the-art Automated Distribution Centre (ADC) in Kemps Creek, NSW!
Coles Group CEO Leah Weckert and Coles Group Chairman James Graham officially opened the 187,000 sqm (2,012,851 sqft) site today with special guest Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
The building size is 66,000 sqm (710,418 sqft) making it one of the largest automated distribution centres in the world.
The first ADC, in Redbank, Queensland, opened last year in May.
TMX Transform is privileged to have supported and worked with Coles on these world-leading facilities since their inception.
Our scope has included concept design, detailed building design, detailed building specification, automation integration, business case assistance, property procurement, and project delivery all the way through to go-live.
Using global-leading WITRON technology, the ADCs are part of Coles' investment of more than $1 billion into technological innovation.
We have seen great improvements in availability for our customers in Queensland and Northern New South Wales following the opening of Redbank ADC in Queensland last year, and I'm excited to see this second ADC bring these same benefits to NSW.
At full capacity, the Kemps Creek site will service 229 NSW and ACT stores, and process more than four million cartons per week.
Congratulations also to our valued project partners Goodman Group and Richard Crookes Constructions on this incredible achievement.
