What: Country Care Group has signed a 10-year lease at Goodman's Acacia Link Industrial Estate
Why: The group is expanding its east cost distribution network
What next: Country Care will transition operations into the former Automotive Brands facility
Country Care Group has leased a 9,714 sq m distribution centre at Goodman’s Acacia Link Industrial Estate in Brisbane, Green Street News can reveal.
The assistive technology provider has signed a 10-year lease for the facility at 26 Industrial Crescent in Acacia Ridge. The rent is undisclosed.
The warehouse, previously occupied by Automotive Brands, will serve as a
major east coast distribution hub for the company, which sells mobility,
rehabilitation and home care equipment. It supplies aged care facilities,
hospitals, NDIS participants and government programs through a national
network of more than 50 showrooms and 135 member stores.
Goodman developed the property, which includes 550 sq m of office and
amenities space, 4,667 sq m of secure hardstand and capacity for 3,720 pallet positions.
The site also includes dangerous goods storage capability, ESFR sprinklers,
LED lighting and a 175kW solar system.
Supply chain consultancy TMX Transform advised Country Care on the move.
Country Care CEO Andrew Vidler said the new facility will improve the
company’s ability to service customers across the east coast.
“As we’ve grown, our distribution network needed to keep pace, and Acacia Ridge gives us the reach to serve more customers across the east coast more efficiently,” he said.
The Acacia Ridge facility is close to Beaudesert Road and the Logan Motorway in Brisbane’s southern industrial corridor.
