Recently, TMX Transform completed a landmark supply chain transformation project in support of Castrol. Representatives from Castrol, The City of Surprise, Kenco, JLL, Evergreen Devco, Willmeng Construction, Inc., Cawley Architects, and TMX Transform attended a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the new Distribution Center (DC) in Surprise, AZ.
The new Distribution Center (DC), named Desert Cove in Surprise, AZ, oversees various Castrol product configurations including totes, drums, pails, jugs, and quarts of lubricants. This strategic project optimizes Castrol's west coast U.S. distribution network.
Key achievements of the project include:
- Successfully launched operations on September 30, 2024.
- Achieved product storage and flow improvements through the warehouse design and value engineering initiative.
- Delivered operational performance targets associated with picking and loading accuracy, and fulfillment of customer orders for on time and in-full performance.
TMX's scope involved program management services, including construction management, 3PL vendor evaluation, and operational readiness. TMX implemented robust project governance frameworks and provided end-to-end construction expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
The team at TMX Transform provided valuable warehouse expertise and experience for the overall project plan, engineering, and operational readiness to enable project milestones and success.
"The timeline of completing this project was ambitious, but thanks to the teamwork from all parties involved, we were able to meet the required dates and achieve a seamless transition for Castrol and its customers,” said Jeff Bornino, President, TMX Transform North America.
“Special thanks to Kenco, JLL, Evergreen Devco, Willmeng Construction, Inc., Cawley Architects, the City of Surprise, and of course, Castrol for their tremendous partnership,” added Bornino.
This successful delivery marks TMX Transform's continued success in the North American market.
