A new, integrated model for data centres
TMX Transform, the global supply chain consultancy, has launched TMX Edge – a dedicated end-to-end data centre consultancy, spun out of TMX Transform to bring integrated development solutions to Asia-Pacific across energy, property and construction. The new entity channels 16 years of TMX Transform expertise in industrial property, construction project management and supply chain consulting into a dedicated data centre offering.
TMX Edge has been built over more than three years of data centre development work with a major hyperscaler customer across multiple Asia-Pacific markets, addressing a growing disconnect between capital investment and delivery capacity in the data centre sector. Demand for AI, cloud and digital services is driving rapid expansion across Asia-Pacific – independent research firm Arizton estimates cumulative APAC investment will reach $244 billion AUD by 2030, yet power constraints, land availability and limited construction capacity continue to slow delivery across key markets including India, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Australia.
The industry leaders driving TMX Edge
The new company will be led by Managing Director Angus Perry, who brings over a decade of construction and development experience across Asia-Pacific, including major infrastructure projects in Hong Kong, and has most recently led TMX Transform's project services division for the past three years. TMX Edge operates across Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and the UK, with expansion into Europe and further APAC markets planned.
Also joining TMX Edge is Christine Corbett, former CEO of AGL Australia and former Chief Customer Officer of Australia Post, who brings unrivalled energy and power infrastructure expertise to the company's strategic advisory board.
One integrated process
Data centre developments sit on the same industrial land, face similar planning and zoning requirements, and involve complex procurement and supply chain challenges, often at 10 to 20 times the scale of a typical industrial facility. Rather than offering a single discipline, TMX Edge delivers an industry-specific solution that connects energy, property, procurement and construction into one integrated model.
