Key challenges
The client required a trusted, local advisor in Victoria and New South Wales, to deliver a building design under the Design & Construct principle, whilst being compliant with the client's global standards.
A large portion of the client engaged contractors required base build integration, early access, and implementation management. Value management was also needed to alleviate budgetary pressures.
Our approach
TMX represented the client, providing specific property and construction industry expertise for their team. TMX were responsible for:
- Client representative advising.
- Financial reporting to client group.
- Internal stakeholder management.
- Client fit-out contractor management.
- Risk management and mitigation.
- Program and construction status reporting.
The results
The project delivered a number of successful outcomes for the client, including:
- Design development workshopping with the outcome of producing a seamless design allowed 50 integrated work bays improving the overall efficiency in operation of workshop.
- Reviewed and assessed builder delay claims determining ~100 days less, in the favor of the client.
- Value management to identify and realize real opportunities with minimal impact to the brief and design outcome.
- Provided local assistance in New South Wales, with only limited client project presence in the state.
